Meet Melissa
Welcoming, smart, striking, timeless—these are the hallmarks of a Melissa Rowland interior. Melissa’s passion for design stems from her roots in architecture- and history-rich coastal South Carolina. She’s perpetually fascinated by how our environments shape us, and how we in turn create environments to enhance our lives. Years of study and travel allow Melissa to create designs rich in sophistication, historical influences, artistry, and fine craftsmanship.
Her project list includes residences from Brooklyn to Florida, Austin to Atlanta, and features seaside homes, ranch properties, urban apartments, and historic homes pulled from the brink of demolition. To every project she brings an appreciation of the home’s unique character, strong construction knowledge, and reliable attention to detail.
If a love of art and architecture is the backbone of Melissa’s work, her care for people is the driving force. Building relationships with her clients and intuiting their needs and aspirations allows her to create interiors that are deeply personal. “Being surrounded by beauty and smart design improves every aspect of our lives,” she says. “I want my clients to experience that and have fun in the process.”

We want to get to know you really well! Melissa will spend one-on-one time listening to your needs, wants, pain points, and dreams and—if you feel stuck—discerning those you can’t quite articulate.
